Purpose
Over 600 million hours of productivity are lost yearly to period pain alone. A study in Nigeria accounts for the Prevalence of dysmenorrhea and school absenteeism was 73% and 13.1%, with the severity of dysmenorrhea.
Dysmenorrhea accounts for among the most frequent problem of women of childbearing age and affects 45% to 95% of them.
To address the issue of menstruation in general, and talk more about period pain, the right education needs to be promoted and adopted. This would make ladies more aware of what goes on in their bodies to speak up and get solutions to prevalent women’s health issues such as period pain.
Through this project, Renoma Holistic Health aims to initiate partnership and collaboration to reach more women and the society at large. This project is in line with SDG 3 (good health and well-being) and SDG 4 (quality education).
